*SIGH* I don’t even know where to start. The reason WHY women look up to Monroe is not simply because she “looked good in a skirt” (and to assume that’s the only possible reason young girls could admire her is sexist in itself), but because she was open about her insecurities. Many people forget that she was known for her balance of beauty/sexuality/confidence AND vulnerability/innocence/anxiety And it’s a comfort to know the “sexiest woman” in the world could be self conscious, too. And that hey, maybe we can find a way to own our sexuality and beauty just as she did, despite her and our self-doubt.
And I suggest you research her accomplishments, as well. (one of the first women to start her own production company, civil rights and Ella Fitzgerald, etc) Because she was more than just a pretty face, and Marilyn, more than anyone, wanted people to know that. She wasn’t perfect, what human on this Earth is? Role models don’t always have to be squeaky clean, and rarely are they. Role models are normal people who have faults and insecurities like the rest of us. But along with and in spite of that, they had the courage, talent and luck to achieve greatness or follow their dreams. And in doing that, inspire us to do so as well. So why wouldn’t or shouldn’t we look up to them?—- to Marilyn? So to any woman—- hell, person out there reading this, you are allowed to look up to anyone who inspires you or a confidence in you that you didn’t know existed. Whether that’s  by Susan or Marilyn, Margaret Thatcher, Lucille Ball, Eleanor Roosevelt, either of the Hepburns, WHOEVER. Don’t let anyone belittle you for it. You are not defined by your looks(neither was Marilyn), but I’ll be damned if you can’t be proud of them. Just don’t be ignorant.

THIS AGAIN.
FUCKING HELL.

Rewatching A Series of Unfortunate Events. Now I know why it’s such a shitty adaption from the books!

I will never understand that casting choice.

BUT DAMMIT

Regarding the AT4W Secret Code…

You know the line that says “the world is at zero, six, and seven”?

Well, I had the idea to take all the letters that go under the numbers zero, six, and seven, and descramble them into something.

I have so far found the words “Vyce” and “return”.
